Participants are connected to our network of 120+ employers, and Hired’s Senior Business Development Coordinator can facilitate direct referrals to hiring leaders, in Minnesota’s MedTech, CHIPS, and Green Energy sectors (e.g., Medtronic, Boston Scientific, Ecolab)

We are here to answer your questions and streamline your enrollment process.

  • We serve professionals who have been laid off or notified of a layoff through no fault of their own. We have specific expertise in supporting workers from Corporate Retail and Office environments. Additionally, we specialize in helping individuals navigate career transitions, including those who are mid-to-late career or over age 50.

    Some special projects may support eligible former employees who live outside the Twin Cities metro area.

  • Hired offers a comprehensive suite of services designed to support the whole person during their career transition:

    • Career Counseling: You are paired with a dedicated counselor (not a subcontractor) who provides personalized 1:1 coaching based on your specific goals. We help you:

      • Research potential career paths

      • Identify transferable skills

      • Recognize skill gaps and develop a plan to learn relevant skills you will need

      • Translate your experience into a compelling resume and interview

      • Confidently communication your professional adapatability

    • Training & Upskilling: We provide expedited access to high-quality training, from certifications (PMP, Lean Six Sigma) to degree completion, through partners like the University of Minnesota and Coursera. Your Hired employment counselor will guide you in selecting and enrolling in training that is offered in-person, virtually, and hybrid, depending on your needs.

    • Wraparound Support: To reduce stress, we can help with job search expenses and connect you to resources for transportation, health insurance, child care, and housing.

    • Financial Counseling: We offer in-house financial wellness workshops and 1:1 coaching to help you manage finances during your transition.

  • After your completed application is received, an Employment Counselor will contact you to set up an initial meeting to discuss your goals and enrollment.

    Once enrolled, there is no set time limit. We meet with you as much as you need. Some participants place in as little as 21 days, while others engaging in deep retraining may take several months. Support varies from weekly meetings to monthly check-ins depending on your training plan.

    When you land a new role, we continue to provide follow-up support for up to 12 months to ensure your long-term success.

  • We have strong relationships with powerful and growing industries in Minnesota, including MedTech, CHIPS (semiconductor), and Green Energy, with partners like Medtronic, Polar Semiconductor, Seagate Technology, and Ecolab.
