Our holistic approach
Hired is centered on building trusting relationships with the people we work with every day, as coaches and navigators who support people to prepare for life-changing work. Our team helps people identify their strengths, assess their career interests and family needs, and then helps people to prepare for work and build a prosperous future.
Finding a job is an essential part of the equation to financial and family stability. Hired’s work is rooted in participant-centered coaching and support to ensure everyone, regardless of background, can reach career goals with family-sustaining wages
Accessing flexible support services to help people stabilize as they prepare for work is equally essential at Hired: technology, housing, food support, childcare, and more. We also advocate for changes that remove poverty-sustaining policies and practices to ensure people have the critical support they need to sustain employment, advance their goals, and build wealth.
Hired remains deeply committed to building a workforce and economy that works for all.
A deep commitment to community
Our work is defined by the depth of our community engagement: 71% of our participants identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), and 77% head families. We are committed to providing individualized services and connections that deliver life-changing results to the people who need it most. We do this by:
Connecting people with more than $2.5 million in support services to help families remain stable.
Providing financial counseling and coaching to 400+ participants to help them begin building wealth.
Increasing household stability for nearly 8,700 children, through improved parent employment.
