Are you ready to jumpstart your career? Hired offers free, short-term training programs so that you are prepared to secure employment in a medical/healthcare field or other industry.

This training program will equip you with the skills, training, and knowledge needed to be an office professional. In addition to preparing you for an office professional job, this training will integrate specific medical terminology education, that can be useful in applying for customer service jobs in the healthcare field.

 
 

Training & Certifications Includes:

  • Northstar Digital Literacy Certifications

  • Job readiness skills; resumes and interviewing

  • Coaching and mentoring from business professionals & job shadowing opportunities

  • Microsoft Office Specialist Certifications

  • Mental Health First Aid Certification

  • Medical Terminology

  • Problem solving and De-escalation training

  • Instruction on:

    • Microsoft Office programs (including Excel & PowerPoint)

    • Keyboard and 10-key typing

    • Business communication and professionalism

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 6 months admin experience and/or some college (preferred)

  • Can type 30 words per minute

  • Some experience with Microsoft Office

  • Low-income household eligibility

benefits:

  • Average starting wage: $20-$24/hour

  • Job coach & placement opportunities with Children’s MN Hospital, North Memorial Health, CVS Health, M Health Fairview and MNGi.
