Prepare for and Advance in Your Career with SNAP E&T

Through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment & Training (SNAP E&T), Hired is helping families expand their job and training/education opportunities. You must be actively enrolled in and receiving SNAP benefits* to be eligible for SNAP E&T services.

SNAP (offered through your County) provides food assistance, while Hired helps individuals develop marketable and in-demand job skills for long-term stability and financial independence.

For individuals who qualify for SNAP E&T, additional support and resources include:

  • Personalized support through an Employment Counselor assigned to you

  • Navigating eligibility, enrollment, and maintenance requirements for SNAP

  • Career Training and Educational Programs, including Coursera’s online classes, Hired’s Career Pathways trainings, and others.

  • Digital Literacy and Skill Building

  • Financial Wellness Coaching

  • Connections to Resources

*Eligibility for SNAP benefits depends on household income and size. Hired can assist participants to apply for SNAP through your County.

Talk to your Employment Counselor or contact Andi at Andie.Armstrong@hired.org.

I am glad I found an organization that is very supportive, understanding of my skills and abilities, and concerned about my goals. Hired helped strengthen areas that I was weak in and helped me stay focused.
