Free training building towards a Technician career track with average industry starting wage $25/hr
Career exploratory and work readiness training
Paid internship/employment at an advanced manufacturing company for 12-months
Coursework at Normandale Community College earning up to 14 credits + the opportunity to test and earn an industry recognized credential
Potential to exit to an apprenticeship, 2-year degree, or 4-year degree program with internal employment promotion
Job coach and support including interview clothing and fuel or bus cards
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Subject to criminal background check
Available for weekday shifts with an employer partner
Walking/standing for prolonged periods
Work in a cleanroom environment with gowning attire
Reliable transportation (Bloomington area)
Solid math, reading, computer, and communication skills
Low-income household, person of color, or unemployed for 26 or more weeks
Program Timeline
Stage 1: Advanced Manufacturing Discovery Early 2026 (hybrid - in person and virtual)
Jump into career exploration and job readiness training with Hired. Learn about advanced manufacturing, see a clean room, take tours and meet employers, Build job readiness, customer service, and digital skills.
Stage 2: Earn & Learn Pre-Apprenticeship Spring 2026 - Spring 2027 (In Person)
You will get paid as you work, learn, and train at an advanced manufacturing company. Employee benefits include health insurance, regular breaks and paid time off. Earn 14-credits and a credential with Normandale Community College.
Stage 3: Advanced Manufacturing Credentials Summer 2027 (in person)
Program and coursework completion. Opportunity to move into a paid Technician Apprenticeship Program with an advanced manufacturing company.
