Program Overview

For more than 47 years, we have been in the business of helping people find and hold jobs, and we are going to bring together our experience, knowledge and resources to help you and your coworkers move on to the challenges of your next career.

We are working toward the same goal: to help you find a great job.

This special section of the HIRED website is intended to provide specific information about the dislocated worker project services available to those who have lost their job due to a company layoff. Here you’ll find a workshop schedule, contact information, and other material we think you’ll find helpful.

We’re known for personalized, one-to-one services and for the attention we pay to each client. We encourage you to communicate with your counselor whenever you need, whether face-to-face, by phone or through e-mail. You counselor is your personal coach. He or she will help you develop your training plan, improve and/or create your resume and cover letter, expand your interviewing skills, connect you with job opportunities, and recommend workshops and other resources.

In addition to personalized one-to-one guidance from your counselor, HIRED offers workshops facilitated by nationally known experts to help you manage and communicate your personal brand; look great, be found, and get known on LinkedIn; and sell your strengths in job search and make meaningful connections through networking. In addition to our workshops, we offer dozens of online webinars which provide 24/7 access to multiple job-search topics and tools.

Training funds are available for skill updates and enhancements; for example, certification or recertification, executive development , advanced computer skills training, updating a license, or resources to explore entrepreneurial development. We work closely with colleges and training providers in all areas of the Twin Cities to offer you the largest selection of programs. We also have experience working with national training providers to ensure you receive the training you need.

A portion of project funds are available to clients in financial hardship. Should you find yourself in a difficult financial situation, we can help bridge a financial gap (e.g. unexpected car repair) that would otherwise prevent you from moving forward in your job search.

We are an equal opportunity employer/program provider.
Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.
