Prom Dreams Come True with Your Help

Throughout the month of March, Perfect Little Spa and Salon in St. Paul will host a “Dress Drive” to collect prom dresses, formal gowns, shoes, purses and accessories that are clean and in excellent condition. The items donated will then be sold to young women in our community and HIRED’s youth clients at a significant discount and proceeds will benefit HIRED’s youth programs. In addition, all of the girls who purchase a dress from the drive will receive a free pampering session on their big day – hair, makeup, nails and professional photos!

So open your closets, and donate your gently used gowns and accessories to this great cause. The young women in HIRED’s youth programs will be forever grateful for making their prom dreams come true. And, the women at Perfect Little Spa and Salon will thank you too, with a $5 off coupon for any service they offer.

HIRED Expands Work with MFIP Recipients in Dakota County

As a leading provider of MFIP services, HIRED has been selected to expand its supported work programs in Dakota County to meet the specific needs of Native American, African American and Somali program participants. The new initiatives will expand on HIRED’s Job Advance program, a 12-week subsidized work experience program which connects people with local employers in order to give them the training and skills that will lead to a permanent job.
