The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development
(DEED) is the state’s principal economic development
agency, operates a number of departments, including, a workforce
development division that works with several partners to providing
training and support to unemployed and dislocated workers.
DEED operates all of the state’s WorkForce Centers.

The Minnesota WorkForce Center System is a partner of HIRED,
and together, the two systems are co-located in six Twin Cities
locations offering unique employment solutions.

to build a more competitive workforce.

state’s nonprofit sector though the sharing of information,
services and research.

Metro Transit, the Twin Cities primary public transportation
system, offers bus and light-rail transit options throughout
the metropolitan area. Many of HIRED’s service locations are located near transit lines.

JOBS NOW Coalition is comprised of more than 100 organizations
with the common belief that the opportunity to attain self-sufficiency
through work is a fundamental community standard. The Coalition
advances its agenda through research, education and advocacy.

welfare and work. Its goal is to promote policies that eliminate
barriers and provide opportunities for low-income families

the needs of low-income and other vulnerable populations.

Children’s Defense Fund-Minnesota’s mission is
to Leave No Child Behind and to ensure every child a Healthy
Start a Head Start, a Fair Start a Safe Start, and a Moral
Start in life and successful passage to adulthood with the
help of caring families and communities. The organization
pays particular attention to the needs of poor and minority
children and those with disabilities.
