HIRED is an independent, nonprofit organization that provides personalized employment assistance to unemployed and under-employed individuals throughout the Twin Cities metropolitan area. We also provide workforce development services to area employers, including programs to assist with recruitment, training and retention of workers, and training and job development services for dislocated workers.

Many of HIRED’s programs are produced in partnership with county and state agencies, human service organizations, schools, churches, and other nonprofit organizations. These partnerships enable us to deliver employment services in neighborhoods and communities across the Metro area. We design our programs to help clients overcome barriers to finding and holding employment, and locating our programs in Workforce Centers and other convenient community locations is one small way in which we reach out to meet our clients’ needs.

HIRED’s executive director, Jane Samargia, is available to the media to speak to the current state of workforce development in Minnesota and the public policy issues that impact HIRED’s key constituents. We can also arrange interviews with clients — from high school students to adults near retirement, from single-parents enrolled in the Minnesota Family Investment Program to recently dislocated information technology workers.
