Fostering Lives Program

girl with counselorThrough a partnership with Hennepin County, HIRED offers comprehensive employment and training services to youth between the ages of 15 to 21 who are in long-term foster care. The program, called Fostering Lives, includes:

  • Vocation assessment and career exploration
  • Subsidized internships and job placements
  • Job-seeking and job-keeping skills training
  • Retention services

Fostering Lives aims to help youth who face “aging” out of the system, establish plans that include employment and continuing education.
