HIRED was selected as part of a multidisciplinary partnership to provide Family Stabilization Services (FSS) to families on public assistance in Ramsey County. The partners include:
HIRED – FSS employment services.
Goodwill/Easters Seals – vocational rehabilitation, adult mental health & chemical dependency services.
Open Cities Health Center – medical outreach and screening, and on-site clinic services.
Children’s Home Society & Family Services – mental health services for children & families, parenting education.
As part of this project, HIRED will once again be working with MDRC, which is a national nonpartisan social policy research organization. We anticipate that this integrated services project will be part of a federal demonstration project that is slated to begin in the summer of 2011.
 
HIRED Selected to Assist Dislocated Workers from the MN House and Senate with re-employment and training assistance.  Through the project, HIRED's employment counselors will assist legislative assistants, committee administrators, researchers/writers, attorneys and fiscal analysts to prepare for an find new employment.
 
The Tennant Foundation awarded HIRED a $10,000 grant to provide green jobs career training
through the new Environmental Career Opportunities (ECO) training curriculum.  ECO consists of flexible learning modules that will allow trainers to deliver targeted skill building opportunities related to green concepts, entry-level green careers, mathematics, on-the-job skills and workplace safety.
