What services does HIRED’s Employer Services Division offer employers? What new or additional services are in development?
HIRED’s Employer Services Division is able to provide a variety of services, including:
- Networking prospects for employers through our Employer Advisory Board;
- Opportunities for employers to partner with HIRED on initiatives that will help them find and keep quality employees, such as partnership grants, apprenticeship proposals and other programs designed to enhance workforce and economic development;
- Coordination of all open positions with our partner employers through Job Link, our web-based database of jobs accessible by our staff and job-seekers.
HIRED’s Employer Services Division is working on a number of new services, including:
- A Geographic Information System (GIS) program that will allow us to map job-seekers and employers using a number of over-lays, including public transportation. This will help us be more effective in working with employers and job-seekers so that the right candidates are considered for the right jobs.
- Enhancements to our Job Link system, including advanced searches based on shifts, benefits, salary and other factors. This will also be integrated with our GIS system, so that job-seekers can search for positions that they can get to on a daily basis.
Why does HIRED offer these services?
HIRED has a long history of collaborating with employers. Throughout the years, our employment counselors have partnered with thousands of companies in the Twin Cities metro area connecting our job seekers with their open positions. The Employer Services Division was formed to bring all of those connections together, with one point of contact for alerting HIRED counselors and job seekers of openings. Job Link, HIRED’s searchable job database, allows employers to do just that. The program, which is operated by the Employer Services Division, allows employers to post their openings to job-seekers. Although the tools available to employers have been improved, over the years, the same goal remains, at HIRED, we recognize that in order to meet the needs of our job seekers, we have to address the needs of employers.
Is HIRED’s Employer Services Division able to work with or provide workers of all skill types?
Absolutely! A recent survey of former HIRED clients found that placement salaries ranged from $6.15 to $60.00 per hour. We’ve placed people in jobs ranging from entry-level labor or service positions to Chief Information Officers and Controllers.
Do HIRED’s Employer Services cost money?
No. We are able to help employers meet their employment needs without any fees.
What makes HIRED’s Employer
Services approach unique?
Many organizations offer similar services, but have a de-centralized employer services function. Relationships with employers in these institutions are often handled by their many employment counselors, whose primary focus is serving job-seekers. HIRED’s approach is unique in that we provide each employer a single point of contact regarding their job fulfillment needs.
What types of employers have you partnered with in the past?
With the wide variety of job-seeker skills and experiences, we place candidates with hundreds of employers every year. Examples of employers we’ve partnered with in the past include FedEx Freight and Higher Expectations.
Are there any geographic restrictions on the services offered?
While HIRED’s Employer Services Division would like to serve every employer in need, we are limited to working primarily with employers located in the seven-county, Twin Cities metro area.
