Star Tribune Article Highlights HIRED’s Role in Helping Prepare Laid-Off Workers for New Jobs

HIRED’s Matt Derosier, senior program manager, was quoted in a Star Tribune story published Wednesday about new efforts by the State of Minnesota to assist workers laid off from their jobs.

The article, by Dee DePass, notes that the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development recently issued $2 million in grants to help 505 workers laid off from a number of companies across the state.  As part of the effort, HIRED was awarded grant funds through a competitive selection process to assist 100 former employees of General Mills.
