On Tuesday, Senator Al Franken spoke at a Minnesota Chamber of Commerce summit titled “How to Make Minnesota the Skilled Workforce State”.
In his comments, Franken noted the success of the M-Powered manufacturing training program in helping meet demand for skilled workers. M-Powered is a U.S. Department of Labor-funded partnership including Hennepin Technical College, HIRED, local employers and industry associations that quickly prepares workers for in-demand jobs in the manufacturing sector.
