It can be difficult to get to your first job when you’re young and without a driver’s license or car. Nate Kaselnak, a counselor in HIRED’s YouthLEAD program, had a solution: why not ask staff members to donate bicycles they were no longer using?
Yesterday, Nate collected 8 bikes donated by HIRED staff and their friends. Express Bike Shop in St. Paul will recondition the bicyles, and donate locks and helmets to the YouthLEAD participants. Thanks Nate, HIRED staff and Express Bike Shop for your efforts. Because of you, eight young people can get to work and their appointments, while also getting some fresh air and exercise.
Nate loaded 8 bicycles in his pick-up truck, and took them to Express Bike Shop in St. Paul for re-conditioning.
