MnSCU Selects Health Care Training Program for Innovation Award

This week, the West Metro Pathway to Health Careers program was selected to receive a 2011-2012 MnSCU Academic and Student Affairs award for “Innovative Partnering and Collaboration”.

Partners in the program include Hennepin Technical College, HIRED, local employers and 5 providers of Adult Basic Education services in the west metro area.  Through innovative and supportive instructional strategies, the program partners prepare individuals for careers as Nursing Assistants and Trained Medication Aides.   HIRED provides case management; support services; and job search training and assistance for the program participants.
